Laura Figa
VIA ANIMA
IN THE PARKING LOT
OF THE MAMMALIAN
BINGO
A FIR TREE
FLANKED BY PASSERS-
BY AND FLEA RIDDEN
PIGEONS
TWO WOMEN BOUNCING
FOR NUDITY EACH
ALLUDES TO HER TRUCK
MAKES A FRIEND
OF HER SUBJECT
A LACTIC LOOK TO HER
NODS COME HITHER
––––
at last, lately
spar
sweat
return to Truitt
wait on the porch
the mailbox full
as a crane’s set
arc
and near,
howlessly,
new flowers for Luis,
fresh pastries
below his image
outside a hammer’s
way
––––
ur wrangler of former domestic use
ur wrangler of former domestic
use was now somebody’s
fiend with a well kempt secret
done rubbed thru a leathern
country fabled for its view
that no belief without conviction
is stable
